## What it is

Europeana aggregates the digitised collections of European museums, archives and broadcasters, including films and newsreels; about thirteen thousand of its videos are openly reusable.

## Best for

European newsreels, early film and cultural-heritage footage.

## Licence

Rights statements are set per item by the contributing institution, from public domain and CC0 to in-copyright.

## How Video Assets Server searches it

Link only for now: its search API needs a key, and many items point at a provider's page or a hosted player rather than a file. Every search links to the same query on Europeana.
